Aurelio’s pizza® announces partnership with former Chicago Blackhawks player & fan favorite Jeremy Roenick

January 18, 2017 (CHICAGO) – Aurelio’s Pizza®, Chicago’s first and the nation’s fifth pizza chain, announces partnership with former Chicago Blackhawks player, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member, and fan favorite Jeremy Roenick. The Chicago Blackhawks will honor Roenick with their third edition of “One More Shift,” an ode to past alumni that allows fans to recognize former players as they skate on the ice, on Sunday, January 22 when they host the Vancouver Canucks.
Former Blackhawks forward Jeremy Roenick will skate “One More Shift” and join the 2016-17 team on the ice during the anthem after the starting lineup has been announced on Sunday. In addition to skating on the ice in full gear, in-arena elements will also feature Roenick and the era he played in. Blackhawks Ambassador Denis Savard was the first alumni honored with “One More Shift,” followed by Steve Larmer.

The renowned family pizza chain founded in the suburbs of Chicago with franchises all over the country, with 42 franchise locations in six states, and three family-owned pizzerias in Chicagoland is proud to partner with Roenick. In his 20-year National Hockey League career, Roenick played for the Blackhawks for eight year, and currently ranks ninth in team history in points (596), seventh in goals (267) and 13th in assists (329).
